KEY players in flood risk communities in Worcestershire have met to discuss the role of flood wardens.
The Regional Flood Symposium in Solihull was organised as part of the Environment Agency's ongoing flood awareness campaign.
It created a forum for two-way communication between residents of communities hit by flooding and key regional flood defence staff.
There was an overview of the EA's work in flood warning, with particular reference to the role of flood wardens in helping the co-ordination of communities at times of an imminent deluge.
Gill Holland of the National Flood Forum, which is based in Bewdley, gave a presentation on the work of the forum in supporting communities at risk of flooding.
