TWO men armed with wooden sticks attacked a Stourport shop owner as he left work at the weekend.
The incident took place outside B&A News Stores, in Minster Road, at around 10pm last night. Another man tried to stop the attack and both he and the shop owner were injured.
Kidderminster police are appealing for witnesses to the crime, which they believe was an attempted robbery, though nothing was taken.
The first attacker is described as white, between 20 and 30 years old, of stocky build, and wearing a dark, woollen hat. The second is described as white, about 5ft 8in tall, of slim to medium build, and wearing a black top.
The two men ran away through an alley towards Stourport town centre.
