A NEW housing scheme in Leominster is stepping up a gear.
The Marches Housing Association's new flats are beginning to take shape along with the Moravian church hall which is being renovated and converted.
The Marches Housing Association has entered into a partnership with the church to ensure the best of all worlds for everyone.
The church hall, which had been dangerous for some while, is being rebuilt to provide new facilities for parishioners and the local community.
Affordable
Seven new affordable homes will be created by the conversion of part of the hall and a new link block that will join the church hall to an existing development of flats in Coningsby Road.
"Everything is going to plan and we're delighted that the eyesore that had become part of the Leominster skyline is being transformed into a useful and attractive new development for local people," says Marches Housing Association managing director David Hinchliffe.
The development represents a total investment of around £600,000.
