A WINNING logo has been selected to help promote a real ale festival, which is being held in Bromsgrove this summer.
Members of the Bromsgrove branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) have chosen the logo for July's beer festival, following a flood of entries.
The design by Justin Hegenbarth, of Rock Hill, was deemed the best and will be used to represent the festival, which is scheduled for July 18 to 20. Justin entered the competition via the CAMRA website after reading about it in the Advertiser/Messenger and will win free entry to the beer festival and a few pints of locally produced ale.
The group launched the competition in December after a venue was found for the gala event. The festival will be held at Bromsgrove Rugby Club and townsfolk will have the opportunity to sample up to 30 independently brewed beers and ciders.
The event will be the first real ale festival in Bromsgrove or Redditch in 21 years. The last one was held at the Abbey Stadium in Redditch in 1982.
CAMRA are still looking for people to come forward and help at the Finstall Park weekend, including folk with expertise in bar work, beer cooling and administration.
If you can offer a helping hand call Brett Laniosh on 07976 610 144 or log on to www.bromsgrovebeerfestival.org.uk.
Tickets are priced £2 and they are available from Brett or from a number of town pubs.
