Jockey Tim Stephenson and owner Clive Hitchings, successful with Better Future at Garnons the previous week, struck again at the Harkaway Club point-to-point meeting at Chaddesley Corbett when their Fontaine again took the Men's Open race.
Leading most of the second circuit Fontaine again seemed to have handed his closest rivals Cascum Lad and Paymaster a chance as he blundered at the second last fence.
But Stephenson kept his mount together and they won by five lengths from favourite Cascum Lad.
This was Castlemorton-based Stephenson's fourth win of the season and compensation for second places on Thatsforeel in the Members race and Paddy Bettalot in the Restricted Open who was second to Irilut ridden by Sam Waley-Cohen.
Waley-Cohen spent the morning schooling at top trainer Nicky Henderson's and hopes to partner his father's Katerino in the 'Kim Muir' Amateur Chase at Cheltenham so was confident aboard the improving French-bred eight-year-old as they won by two lengths.
The Ladies Open race fell to Jane Williams aboard Supreme Citizen who always held the challenge of favourite Gillmar to win by a length-and-a-half.
Mr Nabarro finally got rid of his Maiden tag with an emphatic win in the first division of the younger horse Maiden in the hands of Adrian Wintle. They won by two-and-a-half lengths from Quatermass and Alvero.
In division two Petrouge, trained by Caroline Robinson and ridden by Richard Burton, outpaced their seven rivals over the final two fences to score by two-and-a-half lengths.
