DROITWICH Spa Football Club boss Kevin Blaber believes the Midland Combination division two title is beyond his side despite a convincing 4-1 victory at West Midlands Police Reserves.
Blaber's side crushed the Police with goals from the three Andys - Keenahan, Pheasant and Butler - taking them 3-0 clear before the hour mark.
After being pegged back to 3-1, Keiron Holland restored the three-goal advantage with four minutes left.
But, with Barnt Green Spartak having four games in hand, Blaber is chasing the runners-up spot.
He said: "I don't expect to catch them now but we are still playing for runners-up even though Littleton beat us 3-1 last week. All we can do is keep winning."
Elsewhere, Spa have put in seven-day approaches on Dean Smith, a goalkeeper currently with Premier side Fernhill County Sports, but have signed Martin Smith on a permanent basis in defence.
