THE AGM was well attended and the wine was appreciated on a cold winter's evening. The committee was returned in full and we welcomed one of our young enthusiastic members on board to increase the committee to eight.

The accounts were accepted and we are pleased to have made a profit, which enables us to continue to introduce good speakers at our meetings. Our 2003 outing will be a wine tasting at Bodenham English Wines and a visit to Hampton Court Gardens in Herefordshire on July 23. Olive will be compiling her list at the April meeting and would appreciate payment when booking.

We were pleased to welcome Tony Hamblin, a well-known wildlife photographer and Worcestershire Wildlife Trust lecturer. Tony's slides, particularly of birds, were mesmerising and his relaxed lecture fitted in beautifully to finish off the evening.

We should have a very interesting evening today (Wednesday) when Margaret Sheward from Pershore College will be telling us about the rare and exciting plants grown in the special plant unit at the nursery. Margaret is an expert on propagation and it will be a good opportunity to find out how to deal with those difficult plants.

Join us at 7.30pm for coffee before the meeting in the Village Hall, Chaddesley Corbett. For more information please call Judy Berr
