DANCERS hunting a rip-roaring night out should track down a ticket for a new charity ball.
The Masked Ball is a bid by Bromsgrove Lions to put on a new kind of event for the town, based on the elegant dances of olden times.
"We wanted to try something different and we hope people will support us," said Alan Meredith of the Lions.
"We thought of making it a black tie and ballgown affair but we think masks will be enough to make it special.
" If it's a real success, it could turn into an annual event"
Any mask is suitable and a live band will help revellers dance the night away at the Spadesbourne Suite, in Burcot Lane, on Saturday, April 12.
The event will also raise money towards a specialist Macmillan nurse for the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch.
Book a £15 ticket on 01527 878699 or 01527 893807.
