MUSIC lovers in Bromsgrove are to benefit from an arts grant from Worcestershire County Council.
St John's Church, off Kidderminster Road, has been awarded £375 from the council's First Base scheme to develop itself as a music venue.
The scheme, organised by the council's arts service, offers grants to small groups and organisations that create opportunities for communities to enjoy creative activities. Assistant cabinet member for cultural and community services, Cllr Stephen Clee said: "It's great to see that there are so many good ideas that we can help to get off the ground.
"Anyone who has experienced fundraising will know the hardest funds to find are those crucial pounds and that's where First Base really comes into it's own."
