ASTWOOD Bank became the latest team to be whitewashed by Lickey Monarchs in division one of the Bromsgrove and Redditch Table Tennis League.
The Monarchs team of Eric Hardman, Roy Norton and Martin Clark made light work of mid table Astwood Bank and ran out 10-0 winners.
Second place Carter Retail A had captain Ron Butterton back in the team and had an easy 9-1 win over SPSP. Steve Nicholls won the first and only game for SPSP.
West Midland Phones B ran out easy 9-1 winners against the A team in their derby match. Colin Would and Roger Ellington both won their three games for the B side with Don Shillingford getting two. Fred Harrison got the A team's success. Barnt Green A had a good 8-2 win over Droitwich B.
In division two, the Hillcrest team of Alan McLoughlan, Margaret Buxton and Jax O'Dell were too good for the young Droitwich C team, winning 10-0.
Carter Retail C defeated Studley Road Bulldogs 8-2. Brian Askey and Steve Dimbylow both won all their games for Carter with Avril Belcher getting one.
Barnt Green Hornets had a good 6-4 home win over Studley Road Nomads. Ivor Anderson and Paul Grigg both won twice for Barnt Green with Tony Lawton getting one.
Elsewhere, Barnt Green B lost 6-4 at home to West Midland Phones C despite Pat McCabe winning three games and Studley Road Terriers drew 5-5 with Carter Retail B.
