Wrockwardine Wood 0 Clee Hill 2
Clee Hill travelled to Telford for their first league game for six weeks and after starting should have killed the game off as they got into some good goal scoring positions in the first 20 minutes.
But due to the strong blustery conditions and the wet and very uneven surface of the pitch, the final ball kept going astray. Although the Hill were always in control, the game became scrappy.
But right on the half time whistle the Hill found the final pass they'd been looking for and although Neil Martin scuffed his shot it was still too strong for the keeper to keep out.
The Hill kicked off the second half with the wind in their backs and pushed forward looking for a second goal and twice the Wrockwardine keeper was forced to make great saves, pushing shots from Lee Martin and Richard Martin onto the woodwork.
corner kick
Then, with the game entering the final 10 minutes, the Hill got the all-important second goal when Neil Martin scored direct from a corner kick.
Lee Martin almost made it three when his attempt to chip the keeper hit the crossbar to leave the final score Wrockwardine Wood 0, Clee Hill 2.
