LUDLOW Town were forced to take an unscheduled break when their last two matches at Shifnal, whose ground they temporarily share, were called off due to a water-logged pitch.
Last Saturday's Midland Alliance Cup quarter-final meeting against Grosvenor and Tuesday league clash against Causeway were both victims of the sustained wet weather.
On the plus side it has given some players a chance to get over minor knocks, but this will inevitably mean playing twice a week to clear the fixture congestion.
