PLANS are under way to build new homes on the site of a former warehouse in Greenlands Drive.
The DIY warehouse has been derelict for nine years and the development, which includes houses and apartments, is likely to start in the summer.
Redditch-based architects BLB have designed the scheme. Partner Nigel Lomas said: "We're delighted this scheme has been given 'minded to approve' status by the local planning committee without being referred to the Secretary of State.
"It will provide much-needed housing within the urban area and will reduce the pressure on green belt sites."
