MEN aged over 60 will be given Redditch Council concessionary bus fares from April - putting them on equal terms with women.
Men had not been entitled to the concession until they had reached pensionable age but recent Government legislation changed the entitlement so both men and women become eligible from the age of 60.
The bus permits will allow free travel within the council's boundaries and half-price travel throughout Worcestershire.
Application forms can be collected from the One Stop Shop at the town hall, Alcester Street, or from any Neighbourhood Office.
When completed, the forms must be returned to the town hall and passes will be issued in the post as soon as they are ready.
