HEADLESS Cross Ladies may not be good enough for the BBC or the FA but they kept the pressure on league leaders Kidderminster with a 9-0 win at the weekend.
Struggling Racing Club Hibernian were polished off despite manager Rob Auld keeping goal machine Mandy Ellicott on the bench until half time.
The Lye Meadow side were all set to stage a training session on Saturday morning as the BBC interviewed Trevor Brooking and David Davies for a piece - which Auld presumes was on grass roots football - at Morton Stanley Park.
But the star-struck ladies were disappointed to learn someone - either the Beeb or the game's governing body - did not want a women's team and the interview was switched to an Evesham location.
But Auld was delighted with his side's comfortable win which turned out to be Cross' game in hand because Kidderminster's match against Ross was postponed.
Headless trail the leaders by four points in Division One South of the West Midlands League.
The Herefordshire County FA have announced the County Cup final between Headless Cross and Ross Town will be at the County Ground on Sunday, May 4 (ko 2pm).
