THE Expressive Arts team at Hanley Castle High School, near Upton-upon-Severn, is busy preparing to present this year's musical extravaganza.
The Musical Workshop Extravaganza is the main school production for 2003 and features show-stopping tunes from four popular West End musicals.
The pupils will be performing songs from Oliver, Grease, West Side Story and Les Miserables.
The performances will take place from Tuesday, March 18 to Friday, March 21 at 7pm.
They are a cross-curricular effort combining the efforts of more than 100 young actors, dancers and singers aged between 11 and 18.
Involvement
There is also involvement from the junior and senior choirs and musicians, as well as the staff band.
Widescreen projection completes the picture, providing a multi-media backdrop to the dramatic scenes for extra visual impact.
Tickets are available from the school and are priced from £3.50 up to £20 for a family ticket.
