CYCLING: Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club registered their first win of the season when Stourport's Liam Preece won the first round of the West Midlands Youth Time Trial League at Bromsgrove.
Preece's 10 minutes 12 seconds for the five-mile course gave him the lead in the eight-round series.
Other club riders, Steve Burns and Ian Smith, took third place in the Walsall Roads 25-mile 2up Time Trial at Four Crosses on Sunday.
They clocked 59-38, despite Burns currently receiving treatment for a back injury.
