MARTIAL ARTS: Senior instructor Brian Smith handed out awards to his talented students at the three-year-old Stourport UK Kickboxing Club.
The club have had a successful spell as the first kickboxing group to come away with medals from the National Ju-jitsu Championships.
They have also seen a big increase in the number of girls training in martial arts.
The first two awards went to students of the month, Jade Bollington and Josh Williams.
Keith Haycock was named best improved senior and Charlie Knowles took the junior plaudits.
Second places went to James Bingham in the seniors and Leanne Scott in the juniors, while best technician of the year went to Tom Marks and Danielle Maiden in the respective age groups.
Emma Maiden was voted best U-8s grappler and Becky Smith best U-8s kicker.
Finally, the top fighter award went to junior instructor Ian Burgess.
