TABLE TENNIS: Division Two side KF Eagles caused the shock of the Kidderminster League Vice President's Cup quarter-finals by beating higher-ranked Bewdley CC A.

Mark Bennett won all his games for Bewdley but the Eagles team of Tony Amer, Dave Jeffries and Simon Webb rallied to win five of the other six games, triumphing 5-4 overall.

Another close encounter took place in the 11-Up Cup when the two top Division One teams, Jim's Gym A and Harriers A, met in the divisional final.

Jim's Gym quickly established a 3-1 lead, only for Harriers to pass them and go ahead 4-3.

Gym levelled and clinched victory with Paul Garner beating Leigh Hipkins in a close five-setter.

Kendall Smith, of Franche MS A, attended the England U-17s ranking tournament where he was placed eighth in the country.
