THREE teenagers conned their way into the home of a Harvington pensioner by claiming to be leaving a gift for their granny.
The three then barged their way into the kitchen but the pensioner ordered them out of the house.
And Kidderminster Police are now appealing for information on the incident which occurred on Tuesday at 4.30pm.
One of two girls involved was described as white with a non-local accent, aged 14, 5ft 2in tall with hair in dark ponytail, and the other as white, aged 13, 5ft tall with dark brown hair and heavy build.
The third youth was described as white, aged 16, 5ft 4in tall with short light brown hair.
They told the pensioner they had come to see their grandmother - using the first name of another woman living nearby.
When the woman in her nineties agreed to give them an envelope - to put the £10 note they wanted to leave - she made her way slowly to the kitchen, leaving the front door partially open.
Kidderminster Police said that although nothing was stolen the pensioner was very shaken.
