THE top angler landed 42lb of mixed fish, his best a 7.5lb common carp, from peg 22 on the Heron using catmeat and maggots.
Weights recorded from other pools were from 12lb to 31lb.
Sunday Open, Heron: Carl Jones (Strettons) 40lb 8oz (peg 14), Geoff Hodge (Poole Hal) 11-8 (41), Peter Hodge (Poole Hall) 10-0 (6).
The draw for Sunday opens is made at 9am with fishing from 10am until 3pm.
From April, afternoon opens will begin, drawing at 2pm and fishing from 3pm until 8pm.
