HOLDERS Mickleton Rangers crashed out of this season's Evesham Hospital Junior Cup at the hands of fellow Evesham Sunday League first division side Bretforton VIC Sports.

The winners will be joined in the semi-finals by Evesham WMC, 5-0 winners over league leaders Willersey, who had Perry Beddoes to thank for two of their goals.

In a rehearsal of their Tewkesbury Knockout Cup semi-final, Bear comfortably overcame Broadway United, while the same 4-1 scoreline was enough for Inkberrow to sink struggling Tewkesbury Town.

Last season's Minor Cup runners-up, Red Horse, were made to work hard to make progress this time round as they got the better of Riverside 2-0 to reach the last eight.

Favourites Offenham enjoyed a three-goal winning margin over Salford but there was another setback for Ambassador, who suffered a third defeat in four games, two of which have been at the hands of Sunday's conquerors Peopleton.

Broadway United Reserves, already in two semi-finals, made expected progress at the expense of Norgren, while Pershore came unstuck against Ashton for the second time this season in knockout action.

Defford and Besford also reached the quarter-finals after winning a penalty shoot-out at Moreton Town.

Two goals from Stanton helped Mountinneers get their promotion hopes back on track with a 2-0 Division Three defeat of Honeybourne Gate Inn.

Oliver Stanbra bagged a hat-trick as Badsey Rec Reserves eased their worries at the bottom end of the table with a seven-goal thrashing of Wickhamford.

Division Four top dogs Golden Cross surprisingly failed to see off Hampton WMC in the section's League Cup. James scored for the hosts who were pegged back by the prolific Reddings in the 1-1 draw.
