SOLIHULL goal-getter Simon Hollis is back at the Valley after his club agreed to loan him to Redditch United until the end of the season.

The young wing back made an instant impression when he linked up with United for a prolific spell after falling out with Borough manager Dave Busst before Christmas.

Reds manager Rod Brown thrashed out a deal to extend Hollis' loan after the festive period only for Solihull to hastily recall him when United started breathing down their necks in the league.

But Redditch number two Gary Whild is confident Hollis will be a Red until the end of the season.

Hollis would command a tribunal-set fee if United made a move for the out-of-contract youngster in the summer, because of his age.

But he is certain to be one of the three or four players Brown has targeted to complete his squad for next season - whichever division Redditch are in.

The protracted move for Halesowen Town hitman Richard Leadbeater is still on ice with Yeltz manager Brendan Phillips saying he wants to 'monitor the situation.'

Brown has made no secret of the fact he wants to sign the former Wolves forward and would be prepared to wait until the player's contract expires in the close season.

Hollis is expected to be drafted straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to basement club RC Warwick (ko 3pm) and goalkeeper Richard Anstiss is expected to shrug off a slight calf strain.

Matty Gardiner is set to return after missing Saturday's 2-1 win over lowly Swindon Supermarine with a hamstring problem.
