MORE than 10,000 people in Gloucestershire now support wildlife conservation in the county. In the past five years, membership of the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust has increased from 4,400 to break the 10,000 barrier.
"The amount of people joining proves how much people care about their local environment," said membership manager Emma Bradshaw."
Membership of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust ranges from retired people to families with young children, and Dr Simon Lyster, director general of The Wildlife Trusts, said: "Not only are our members increasing but we are broadening our appeal. We want everyone to be able to enjoy wildlife whether from countryside or city, those with disabilities, and the rich and poor."
