A RECITAL showcasing the musical prowess of two young pianists will be held at Kidderminster Library tomorrow.
Tickets will be available on the door for the concert, organised by the Classical Music Society, which will feature Michael Green and Christopher Hall, both pupils of society president Beryl Chempin.
Michael, who began learning to play the piano at the age of five, is a third year student reading music at Birmingham University.
He has played the French horn in the Bristol Schools Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia, as well as in the West of England Schools Symphonic Wind Band.
The 29th Young Musicians Concert will include two duets written by Michael for the occasion.
His solo offering for the recital will include two Debussy preludes, Beethoven bagatelles, Sonetto by Liszt, a Poulenc toccata, and Rhapsody for Piano by Dennis Matthews.
Meanwhile, Christopher, who has spent the past seven years establishing his company Hall's Music Services, will play Beethoven's Waldstein Concerto, two preludes and fugues by Bach and Liszt Sonata 104.
He majored in performance on both the piano and harpsichord at the University of Huddersfield and then went on to train as a secondary school music teacher.
Tickets for the show, which will start at 7.30pm, are on sale at the library or by contacting society vice-chairman Von Stewart on 01562 755990.
