Eight members shot at Gloucestershire's County Championships. The round shot was a Portsmouth, a ten-zone 60cm face shot at 20 yards.

Lisa Illingworth and Peter Williams shot the overall highest scores of 561 and 580 to take the two recurve trophies.

Malcolm Porter led for most of the 60-arrow shoot but missed out on top spot by just two points with 578.

The Harry Mitchell Centre at Smethwick was the venue for Warwickshire's County and West Midlands Junior Indoor Champio-nships. The round shot was the Fita 18, 60 arrows shot at a 40cm with ten zone scoring from a distance of 18 metres.

There are few combined Fitas on the indoor calendar, five-dozen arrows shot from 25 metres at a ten-zone 60 cm face and the same from 18 metres at a 40 cm face.

Chorley Archers' Combined Fita saw a full entry with some top national exponents in action but it was a trio of Evesham archers that produced some spectacular results.
