IN response to your article 'Church cash crisis in Broadway', Journal February 13. It is about time the people running the church were made aware of the main reason for the drop in church attendance is due to the proposed alterations (west end screening) costing £70,000, together with the interregnum.
The majority of village people consider these alterations totally unnecessary and an absolute waste of money even though some of the monies are gifts for that project.
They have therefore reacted by boycotting the church. It will only add to the church financial crisis by discontinuation of Book of Common Prayer communion service at 8am as less people will attend.
Is it not time the Broadway PCC woke up and took some action to stop these alterations taking place and save our church?
E P ASTON, Broadway.
