POLICE were alerted after people in Upton came across what they thought were human bones.
A group of locals found a hip bone and a leg bone in a field just off Rectory Road at about 6pm last Sunday.
The bones were taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for examination but, after consultation with staff, they were confirmed as cow bones.
