ON behalf of Compassion in World Farming, I would like to thank the many people of Malvern who, despite the very cold, wet and windy day (Saturday), took time to sign our petitions against the live animal export trade, and other major concerns regarding animal welfare. The amount raised was £213.27.
May I also thank Jerome Flynn, as although he was appearing in his show at the Malvern Theatres for a matinee and evening performance, still gave his time to come and stand with us to show his caring support for our cause.
So once again, thank you people of Malvern and Jerome. We in turn will campaign tirelessly to end cruel practices and improve welfare for farm animals.
J HARRIES, local organiser, Compassion in World Farming, Petersfield, Hampshire.
