I AM a frequent user of the Malvern Library and at one time made use of the computer help provided there by LearnDirect.

I did not find any real interference between the two. Indeed, with the comprehensive supply of computer books in the library, the two seem complementary.

However, I can agree with the doubts of Coun Victory (Your Letters, February 14) on the question of a one stop shop being incorporated in the extension being provided for the library.

What I find most disturbing is the apparent lack of co-operation between councils. When the town council acquired its expensive premises on Belle Vue Terrace, one of the reasons, as I understood it, was to set up, in conjunction with the other councils, such a shop.

All the councils could be represented and would be available to guide any inquirer to the appropriate council for their query or problem. Also it was envisaged one or more community bodies could be represented there. This could have spread the cost of upkeep, which could be for the benefit of the Council Tax-payer.

Why have the county and district councils ignored the town council with this latest plan? With three layers of councils, all with differing responsibilities, it would make sense if they all co-operated in matters which are of mutual interest.
