A YOUNG Malvern Ladies team took the points for promotion in this top of the table clash between the second and third placed teams in the Worcestershire League Division Three.

Malvern took an early lead when Emily Price hit home from close range. Malvern dominated the remainder of the first half but they were unable to turn their possession into further goals.
Malvern came out strongly in the second half with Emily Price scoring her second again from close range. In Stourport's only attack of the game they managed to pull a goal back.
Malvern then stepped up a gear and took complete control of the game and after numerous chances Emily Swainswood scored from a penalty flick following an indiscretion in the D from the home team.
Malvern completed their scoring when Sophie Wood found the back of the net from a deflected free hit from just outside the D.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Malvern Ladies play against Droitwich at Malvern College, noon meet, 12.30pm push back.
