CONGRATULATIONS to Councillor Tom Wells for having the courage of his convictions by voting against the above-inflation pay rise that Malvern Hills Councillors have just awarded themselves.
Through your paper, Coun Wells advises the electorate that, with inflation running at under three per cent, he has a real problem accepting a pay rise of 6.6 per cent.
Therefore, if he is genuinely concerned, can he give us a public assurance that he will donate the extra 3.6 per cent he has been awarded, against his better judgement, to a charity.
