A WORCESTER restaurant is to become the latest to sign up for an initiative to provide better services for visually impaired people.
Nando's Restaurant on Friar Street will be unveiling its large print and Braille menus on Friday, March 28.
It is part of the Awareness Support campaign to "Braille the city" and give visually impaired people increased independence and equality.
There are thought to be approximately 2,500 visually impaired people in Worcester alone.
McDonald's in Blackpole and Shakeeys in Angel Street are two of the other fast-food outlets to support the campaign and Beatties department store is now waiting for a store directory in Braille and large print.
Joining Nando's manager Simon Rushton at the launch of the menu will be Andrea Steele of Awareness Support and city dignitaries.
