WHILE Comic Relief fever gripped the county on Friday, pupils at a Worcester school drummed up money for another special cause.
Around 130 St Mary's Convent School pupils, aged from two-and-a-half to 11, took part in a Denim for Diabetes Day.
As well as dressing in denim, the children made diabetic cakes and sold them to raise money for Diabetes UK.
"Everyone really enjoyed themselves," said Susan Cookson, preparatory school head at the Battenhall school.
The children raised more than £100 for the charity.
