PROMOTION-chasing Kidderminster Harriers hope to have Danish striker Bo Henriksen fit for tonight's Nationwide League Division Three clash against Shrewsbury Town at Aggborough (7.45).

He missed last Saturday's 2-0 victory at Cambridge United because of hamstring trouble.

Henriksen, Harriers' leading marksman with 18 goals so far this term, suffered the injury in training last Friday.

He could possibly have played at Cambridge, but a decision was made not to risk him in case the problem worsened causing his spell on the sidelines to be lengthened.

"It wasn't worth the risk. We need everyone fit and available to us now until May," said Harriers manager Ian Britton.

Kidderminster, however, will again be without midfielder Dean Bennett (hamstring) and defender Kenny Coleman (stomach).

Harriers side go into tonight's clash in ninth place in the table, one point away from a place-off spot and two adrift of the automatic promotion positions.

The Shrews, who lost 3-2 at home to Harriers in October, are 18th in the table and only five points away from the two relegation slots which are currently occupied by Exeter City and Swansea City, who are the visitors to Aggborough on Saturday.

Britton, however, is unconcerned by struggling Shrewsbury's problems - only his side's ability to take full advantage of their impressive win at Cambridge.

He said; "There's no room for error now, we've got to keep going. It's all in our players hands. We have got games in hand and have had results go for us."

Aggborough skipper Sean Flynn said: "We can't afford any inconsistency now. It's very much in our own hands, but we need to put a run together, especially in our home games."

The experienced Flynn expects a tough test, particularly for the youngsters in the side. "There's been a lot of tension in the past few games and it's going to get worse," he said.

Harriers two previous home League encounters with Shrewsbury have both ended in victory - 3-1 in March 2001 and 1-0 last season.

FORMCAST: Harriers can step up their promotion bid with a 2-1 victory.
