SHOPPERS were given a treat yesterday, when pupils from a county school celebrated St Patrick's Day by performing live Irish music in Droitwich town centre.
Fifteen students from Droitwich Spa High School put on a series of solo and figure dances in the Salters Shopping Centre.
The performance has become an annual event for the pupils, who are also part of the town's Crossey School of Irish Dance.
"We are delighted to be keeping the tradition of Irish music alive on St Patrick's Day," said Eileen Crossey, a dancing coach and maths teacher at the school.
The show lasted 20 minutes and was performed to the sounds of an accordion played by Ms Crossey.
