EMMA Bowdler and Julie Freeman bagged three goals each on Sunday when Kidderminster Harriers Ladies beat Redditch United 8-2 to stay just above Headless Cross in West Midlands League Division One.
Harriers flew ahead in the 14th minute when Vicky Hyde's throw-in set up Bowdler who caught the keeper off her line with dipping 20-yard volley.
Redditch equalised five minutes later but Vicky Roberts drove the Wyre Forest team ahead again straight from the re-start with a fierce shot from 15 yards.
Bowdler added her second on 26 minutes direct from a corner kick but United battled back again with a goal before half-time.
Harriers ran away with the second half though with Freeman firing her first in the 52nd minute after her initial header from a Bowdler corner had been parried.
Freeman then made no mistake from 10 yards for the fifth goal and Tracey Evans came close to adding another in her first game of the season with a great solo effort.
However, Bowdler did add a sixth with a bending shot into the top right-hand corner on 64 minutes and then supplied the through-ball for Freeman to complete her hat-trick.
Sam Rogers set up Hyde for the final goal, an unstoppable shot from just inside the area, and Lisa Stokes had a late strike ruled out for offside.
The ladies are down to only 12 fit players, due to injuries, so anyone over 14 interested in playing football is asked to call 07761 322406.
Fixture, Sunday: Fairfield Villa v Harriers (2pm kick-off, players to meet at Harriers at 12.15pm).
Squad: Baldwin, Stokes, Haswell, Pollard, Jones, Rogers, Hyde, Roberts, Bowdler, Freeman, Dunnett, Thorpe.
