WYCHAVON District Council is sweet-talking its residents with one leaflet that looks like a chocolate box and another decorated with colourful jelly beans.

District Moments, sent out with council tax bills, is full of information about how the money is spent, together with an A to Z of services and statutory guidance notes.

Making Life Sweeter for You, decorated with jelly beans, contains the Wychavon Community Plan for improving the quality of life for residents.

Simple

It gives a taste of what police, councils and local health trust are planning and offers a chance for residents to share their views of Wychavon, using a simple postcard at the back of the leaflet.

"This is really a bite-sized version of the plan," said community planning officer Cherrie Mansfield.

"It's based on the things local people have told us matter to them and explains what's happening and what actions the partners are going to take to tackle those issues over the next few years."

A previous pizza menu-style leaflet sent out by Wychavon with last year's council tax bills was runner-up in the 2002 Charity and Public Services Publishing Awards.

Anyone who has not received them can get a copy of either leaflet from one-stop shops in Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich.
