A TEENAGER trying to raise money for a new electric wheelchair has had a test drive in the he hopes to buy.
Christian Fulton, aged 19, who suffers from cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy, said the Storm 3 would make a huge difference to his life.
It has a reclining back, extending footplates and a seat that moves up and down to help him reach for things.
At the moment, Christian, who lives with his mum Debbie on Wensleydale Drive, Blackpole, suffers a lot of pain in his hips and back, but the new chair would help to ease discomfort.
Generous Evening News readers responded to Christian's appeal to raise the £7,000 he needs to buy the equipment by donating more than £4,000.
But he still needs to raise another £3,000 if he is to keep hold of the chair he was allowed to try out.
If you can help Christian reach his £7,000 target please telephone him on 01905 456209.
