THE party whose leader, Charles Kennedy, has sided with the likes of France, Germany, Russia and Saddam Hussein, has now jumped on board a new band wagon.
Their economic spokesman, Matthew Taylor, states they are to abolish council tax.
Of course, he doesn't say when because the Liberal Democrats have no prospect of ever being in power.
One wonders how Councillor Diane Thomas would fund Forge Mill and the Countryside Centre in the face of such an unlikely eventuality. I was under the impression the Lib Dems wanted less involvement in local affairs by Whitehall, not more.
