IT WAS seven out of seven for Worcestershire County Darters who beat second placed Cornwall 21-15 in the British Darts Organisation Inter Counties Darts League.

The women stayed top with a 4-2 win, Janet Hill, 7x100, won 3-1 (19.05). Beatie Powell, 2x180, 3x100 (18.32) lost the first two legs but her experience won the game 3-2.

Jackie Jenkins, 4x100 (17.39) won 3-1 and captain Rachael Dixon, 140, 3x100 brushed aside the experienced Angie Bird in straight legs, scoring 3x100+ for an average of 20.04 to take the match award.

With the overall score 14-10 to Worcestershire the Men faced the pressure of nailing the County's toughest match this season.

Nick Fullwell, 180, 2x140, 2x100 won 3-0 in 25, 17 and 18 for a 25.05 average. Kevin James, 140, 13x100 ran out the 3-2 winner. Mark Jones, 121, 8x100 won 3-1 and Tony Randell, 3x140, 110, 8x100 won 3-2 (24.28).

Terry Jenkins not only put in an award-winning performance, he sealed victory for Worcestershire. Terry scored 3x140, 4x100 116 game shot in 14, 15 and 18 darts for the highest average of the day, 31.98.

The score at 19-13 Steve Webb, 140, 135, 9x100 won 3-1 in 23, 17 and 18 (26.34) and Paul Brookes, 5x140, 137, 128, 5x100 won 3-2 in 17, 18 and 16 (27.01) to give the Men's A the 7-5 win.

The Women's B drew 3-3. Opening the match Tracey Bishop came through a tough game to win 3-2 and Debbie Doohan hit 3x100 in her 3-1 win. Another match award for Chris Glover's 3-0 win, hitting 140, 4x100 for a 19.03 average.

The men's B opened with a fiery match award winning performance by Steve Watton, hitting 10x100 for a 3-1 win, in 18, 16 and 25 darts for an average of 24.21.

Simon Webb, 2x140, 125, 3x100, won 3-1 (22.36). Mark Bayliss, 4x140, 135, 3x100 (24.14) stayed cool to run out the winner in 17, 20 and 17. Rob Hemming, 3x140, 135, 3x100, won 3-1 (21.27). Cornwall won the next five games in a row giving them a one game advantage.

Gritty and determined performances by the next two players, Ray Bishop, 180, 2x140, 7x100, won 3-2 firstly levelled the match then Paul Lewis hit two 180s back to back and clocked a great 139 game shot in the third leg winner to put the Men's B ahead.

Tim Green, 2x140, 125, 121, 4x100 won 3-1 (23.69) to keep the Men's B at the top of their table with another 7-5 win.

With two matches to go this season the County look on target for promotion and host Bedworth next month.
