A WYTHALL district councillor has thrown down the gauntlet to Bromsgrove Council leaders over boosting the level of their reserves.
John Gardener, who is also a member of Wythall Ratepayers' Association, said the council had this year budgeted for an unnecessary increase for its reserves from £1.4 million to more than £1.5 million.
The council's executive cabinet will consider a recommendation to maintain a minimum working balance of 15 per cent of the net General Fund Budget when they meet today.
