THE Conference and FA were remaining tight-lipped today after yesterday's meeting about plans to expand the Nationwide Conference in the close season.

Conference bosses were involved in a board meeting today and an FA official said there is another meeting planned for tomorrow (Thursday).

The official was unable to confirm who the meeting was with and said no further comment would be made until after tomorrow's meeting.

The likelihood is that the FA have made a proposal which the Conference is discussing at the board meeting today before taking its response back to the governing body tomorrow.
