GARETH Meese fired New Olympic back to the top of the Advertiser/Messenger Football League division one with a double strike in a 2-1 home victory over Crabmill.

Sporting Harborne's 2-2 draw with Bromsgrove Town did their title hopes little good, leaving them nine points off the pace.

John Burford's first minute goal was enough to seal Rovers Sunday Reserves' win over Barley Mow in division two. With title challengers Wychbold losing and Turks Head only claiming a point, Rovers now need three wins from seven games for the title. In other games, Mark Styler hit all four goals as Real Archers won for only the second time in the league this season, 4-3 at Sportsman United.

In division three, Cofton Falcons lead Crown Inn by two points at the summit after beating Red Lion 4-2 while Crown astonishingly slipped to a 3-0 home defeat against Victoria Barnt Green Reserves.
