RELEGATION-bound Kings Norton have been given a welcome lift by securing a major sponsor for next season.
Black Country firm Kingswinford Plant have offered their skills to help expand the rugby and football facilities at Ash Lane over the next two years.
The £25,000 sponsorship package forms part of ambitious plans for the Hopwood ground which has hosted North Midlands youth fixtures this season.
And skipper Pete May is looking to the future after resigning himself to relegation.
Second team second row Graham Garret was promoted to the starting line-up for Saturday's loss to Old Yards and fellow youngster Jason Rudd came on for the second half in a frustrating reverse.
The result means Kings Norton will finish in the bottom two of Powergen Midlands Four West South with three matches to go.
Kings are looking for a friendly fixture at the weekend after scheduled friendly opponents Bournville cried off.
Inside centre James Braban and scrum half Martin Hefford are unavailable and the club are likely to field A and B teams because birthday boy Chris Cooksey's Select side will take on Kings Norton Select in a friendly at Ash Lane on Sunday (ko 2pm).
