A SKINT Spa theatre, which faced closure at the end of last year, is celebrating a host of generous donations.
The Norbury Theatre is laughing all the way to the bank after netting more than £3000 in kind donations and ticket receipts.
On Monday (March 17) the theatre was given a cheque for £250 from the Midland Musical Theatre Group.
The Malvern-based company, made the gift after it pulled out of it's February show at the last minute. Instead, amateurs at the Friar Street theatre put together 'The Norbury Review', which brought in a whopping £1700.
The Norbury was also delighted to receive an anonymous donation of £1000 from a former member. A spokesman said: "Things are going really well again and we have been delighted to receive such generous donations."
The theatre hit hard times two years ago when £32,000 was needed to fix the wiring. Although the council helped, the theatre forked out £16,000, which cleared its savings.
