The booming voice of Bromsgrove's town crier will be heard loud and clear this summer across the streets of Cornwall in his bid to become the world champion.
Kevin Ward, of Broad Street, Sidemoor, is due to join more than 100 town criers from all over the world in Newquay for the 10th annual competition, from Saturday, May 10 - 17.
To take part, he has to compile three cries and says the first will be about Bromsgrove and what there is to see and do in the area.
The second will cover Cornwall itself - but Mr Ward says he is still looking for inspiration for the third.
The renowned town resident shouted his way to fifth place in the 1987 competition and believes he stands a good chance of doing well in this year's competition.
"I am still looking for inspiration for my third cry but think I might base it around my ancestor, Birmingham town crier, Jacob Wilson, and include the history of crying and how it has evolved through to modern day," he said.
Kevin Ward has been town crier on Bromsgrove's streets for 18 years and has appeared at many popular events, including the Lord Mayor's parade in Birmingham.
The 25th anniversary of the World Town Crier's championships will be hosted by Newquay's town crier, David Earnshaw.
