THREE town schools were forced to close on Thursday when taps ran dry across the Spa.
Work being carried out by Severn Trent created problems at Westwood pumping station and caused two pipes to burst.
Witton Middle School, St Peter's First School and Chawson First School were forced to send children home and households across the Spa suffered infrequent water supplies for two days.
A Severn Trent spokeswoman said: "The problems were caused by work being carried out at the Henley to Redditch main last Wednesday.It will eventually provide a back up supply for Birmingham."
