A STUDLEY mum will officially open Redditch's new Matalan store tomorrow after winning a competition in the Advertiser.
Carol Farr was chosen as the winner of our Matalan Mum 2003 competition featured last month and as part of her prize gets to cut the ribbon at the Tunnel Drive store alongside members of Redditch Special Olympics, the store's chosen charity this year.
She also wins a new outfit from Matalan's spring/summer 2003 collection, a bottle of bubbly and a bouquet of flowers.
Runner-up was Wendy Norton, also from Studley, who will receive £20 of Matalan vouchers and 'pamper vouchers' to be redeemed in the Matalan Mums Mellow Zone on the opening day.
Features of the store's opening day include a children's entertainer and face painter, Mother's Day raffle to raise cash for Redditch Special Olympics and the chance to win prizes from the homewares and ladieswear collections.
A small charge will be made to enter each of the Matalan Mum and Children zones and all money raised will go to the charity.
