AN ALCESTER police officer has appeared in court on charges involving indecent photographs of a child.
Mark Winter, of the Gloucestershire Police Force, was charged at Leamington's Mid-Warwickshire Magistrates Court with two counts of making indecent photos of a child and two charges of attempting to make indecent photographs of a child.
The alleged offences are said to have taken place at Bidford-on-Avon in February and May, 1999.
The hearing was adjourned to March 26. Bail was granted. No plea was taken in court but Winter, 39, of Newport Drive, said later that he would be pleading not guilty.
